Employees of Radio-Television Serbia (RTS) have returned to their workplaces following false bomb threat reports that were later confirmed as unfounded. The incidents occurred at four locations where staff had evacuated buildings after receiving anonymous warnings. The Serbian police (MUP) conducted checks on the premises, and no explosives were found.
The false alerts prompted immediate action, with workers leaving their offices as a precaution. Officials from RTS confirmed that the threats were not credible, and the police investigation cleared the premises. Employees resumed their duties after the situation was resolved.
This is not the first time RTS has faced such incidents. Previous reports indicate that similar false alarms have occurred in the past, leading to temporary evacuations and police involvement. The organization has continued to operate normally, with staff expressing confidence in the security measures in place. The incident highlights the ongoing challenges of dealing with misinformation and the need for swift verification processes in public institutions.
